Out of the box, WordPress is pretty well optimized for SEO. Each site also has the Yoast SEO plugin enabled, which allows users to further optimize their content for search engines.

Any Post, Page, Employee Profile, Expertise Page, Internship/Job Page, or Work Page can be optimized using Yoast. Each of these pages or posts has a section titled Yoast SEO that allows users to customize a variety of things, including the snippet that shows in search engines and a focus keyword. Additionally, Yoast analyzes your content and provides helpful tips to improve your SEO for that post.

Administrators can also access the Yoast SEO admin area and further customize options there. It is recommended that nothing in this area is changed unless that person has extensive knowledge of what they are doing.
