The News & Opinions page contains a blog reel of as many of the white-listed categories as found on the site. This is based on the categories defined in
as well as the white-listed categories.If a category contains zero posts, the category tab will still appear on the News & Opinions page, but the tab content shows that there are no posts associated with that category.
If there are posts categorized as News & Opinions and/or Uncategorized, the News & Opinions page will display one blog reel, and have no tabs. As soon as an additional child category is added (ex: News), the tabs will re-appear.
The functionality described above works on a dual-language site as well.
The approved, white-listed categories are:
If the site contains a category that is not from the above list, it will not show up on the site. The exception to this is if there are posts defined as Uncategorized. These posts will still show up on the site.
